Coupons apply a discount when a customer books a session. They are managed on the Coupons tab of the Billing page.

Creating a Coupon

Discount Types

A coupon carries either a percentage off or a fixed dollar amount off, never both. The discount applies to the session package price at the time of booking.

Usage Limits

Leave the usage limit empty for unlimited use. When a limit is set, the coupon stops working once the number of redemptions reaches it. The current redemption count is shown on the coupon.

Expiry

Set an expiry date to have the coupon stop working automatically. Coupons with no expiry date remain valid until they are disabled or deleted.

Restrictions

A coupon can be restricted to any combination of session packages, organizations, and subject groups. Leaving a restriction empty means the coupon is unrestricted in that dimension. Adding entries means the coupon applies only to those entries.

For example, a coupon with two session packages selected and no organizations selected works for those two packages, for any organization.

When a customer enters a code that cannot be used, they are told why, such as the coupon being expired, having reached its usage limit, or not applying to the package they selected.

Disabling and Deleting

Turn Enabled off to stop a coupon working while keeping its history and redemption count. Deleting a coupon archives it and removes it from the list. The code then becomes available again, so a new coupon can be created using the same code.
