Deleting a subject is a cleanup action for duplicates and mistaken records. It is not how you handle a family that has decided not to be photographed; for that, cancel their session and leave the record in place.

What deletion does

When a subject is deleted:

• Their association to the organization and their Subject Groups is removed.
• Upcoming sessions are cancelled and refunded.
• Their sessions are deleted.
• They lose login access.

The record is archived rather than destroyed, so history reports still show what happened, but it no longer appears in lists, rosters, or exports.

How to delete

• One subject: open the subject and click Delete, then confirm.
• Several subjects: on the Subjects list or a Subject Group's Subjects tab, select them and choose Actions → Delete.
• A whole group's subjects: from the Subject Group's actions, delete Subjects. Subjects who also belong to another group are not archived.

Removing vs. deleting

To take a person out of one program while keeping them as a subject, edit their Subject Groups on the Profile or use Remove on the group's roster. That changes membership only; sessions in other groups and the login are untouched.

Deletion refunds upcoming paid sessions automatically. Review the subject's Billing tab first if you do not expect a refund to go out.
