Files can be downloaded one at a time, as a selection, or as a complete folder. Larger selections are packaged into a single ZIP archive that Airstudio builds for you in the background.
Open the Files tab on the record, tick the file, and click Download. The file downloads straight to your device.
You will be offered two options:
Download individual files sends each file to your browser separately. This is the quicker route for small selections.
Download as ZIP packages everything into one archive. This is recommended once a selection passes 20 files, and it is the only option when a folder is included, because folders always come through as a ZIP so the folder structure is preserved inside the archive.
When you choose ZIP, you can enter an email address. Airstudio sends the download link to that address as soon as the archive is ready, so you do not have to keep the page open. Leaving the field blank is fine; the download will still appear in your browser when it finishes.
A progress panel shows the percentage complete and an estimated time remaining. You can keep working elsewhere in Airstudio while it runs, and you can cancel a build at any point from that panel.
When the archive is ready, the panel switches to a Download Zip button and shows the date the link expires. If you supplied an email address, the panel confirms it was also sent there.

A single ZIP can hold up to 2 TB. If a selection exceeds that, split it into smaller groups and download each one separately. Single file downloads are not subject to this limit.

Archives above 5 GB are built on dedicated infrastructure. They complete normally but take longer than smaller archives.
Each download link supports 5 archives building at once. Beyond that, Airstudio reports that too many downloads are in progress for the link and asks you to wait for the current ones to finish.
Selecting an empty folder returns a message saying there are no files to download.
