Equipment keeps track of the gear that makes the shoot possible: where every camera, light, and case is right now, who has it, which job it is going to, and whether it works. You build kits from templates, label them so they can be scanned, check them out to a crew in the morning, and check them back in at night. Jobs list the equipment they need, so a shortage shows up on the schedule before picture day rather than in the parking lot.

Overview

Basic Flow:

• Add Item Type (Camera / Light Stand / Extension Cord)
• Add Bag Type (Camera Bag - 2 Camera / 2 Flash Heads / 2 Flash Batteries / 2 Flash Battery Chargers)
• Add Bag (Camera Bag with specific items included (R10 Body Serial # 11002202 etc.)
• Issue Bag to Staff (Long Term) or Job (Short Term)

The Building Blocks

Item Types First - These are the types of items you will put into bags, things like, “Camera Body”, “Portable Flash”, “Flash Battery”

**Bag Types -** These are the types of bags you will want to have that are filled with your Equipment Item Types. Something like, “Candid Camera Bag” that may contain, 2 Camera Bodies, 1 Portable Flash and one Flash Battery.
