Equipment keeps track of the gear that makes the shoot possible: where every camera, light, and case is right now, who has it, which job it is going to, and whether it works. You build kits from templates, label them so they can be scanned, check them out to a crew in the morning, and check them back in at night. Jobs list the equipment they need, so a shortage shows up on the schedule before picture day rather than in the parking lot.

Five habits make the system work: build bags from templates, label everything, scan out, scan in, and log repairs the day they happen. Skip any one and the inventory stops matching the shelf.
