Everything you can do in a conversation once you are in it.
Type in the compose bar and press Enter. Shift+Enter starts a new line. Your message appears immediately and is delivered to every member's screen in real time. While you type, others see Name is typing.
The compose bar also offers Attach files, Add emoji, Mention someone, Link a record, and Ask Nimbus AI a question.
Type @ and start a name to mention a member; they receive a notification even if they have the channel set to Mentions Only. Mentioning someone who is not in the channel prompts you to add them first. Type @here to notify everyone in the channel regardless of their preference; use it sparingly.
Your own mentions are highlighted so you can spot where you were pulled in.
Link a record searches jobs, sessions, subjects, organizations, and employees and inserts a link into your message. Anyone reading can click it to open the record. It is the fastest way to say "this one" without copying details.
Hover a message and choose Reply to answer in a thread. The thread opens in a panel beside the conversation, and the original message shows a reply count. Threads keep a busy channel readable: the question stays in the channel, the back-and-forth stays in the thread. Notify everyone in this thread sends your reply to all participants.
Hover a message and pick an emoji. Reactions are toggles: click again to remove yours. The people who reacted are shown on hover.
You can edit and delete your own messages from the hover toolbar. Edited messages are marked as edited. Deleting removes the message for everyone. Nobody can edit another person's message, including Administrators.
An unsent message is kept as a draft when you switch conversations and is synced to your other devices, so a reply started on your phone can be finished at your desk.
Opening a conversation marks it read. The sidebar badge counts messages posted since you last read. Thread replies do not count toward the badge.
