Subjects receive notifications about their account and sessions: account created, booking confirmation, reminders, reschedule and cancellation confirmations, payment receipts and refunds, gallery ready, and any custom messages you send. Which of these go out, and their wording, is set on the Subject Group.
A message about a subject goes to the subject's own email or phone and to each of their contacts, according to these settings:
| Setting | Where | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Receive Email / Receive SMS on the subject | Subject Profile | Turns each channel on or off for the subject. |
| Receive Email / Receive SMS on each contact | Subject Profile → Contacts | Turns each channel on or off for that parent or guardian. |
| Notifications Enabled and per-trigger switches | Subject Group | Which notifications exist for the group at all. |
A subject with no email and no phone receives nothing; add a contact so someone does.
The Notifications tab on the subject lists every message sent to the subject and their contacts: type, recipient, sent time, delivery status, and whether it was opened. Click View to see the exact message as delivered. Undeliverable messages are flagged; a bounced email usually means a typo in the address.
Open the message and click Resend. To send it to someone new, add them as a contact first so the address is on the record, then resend. See the walkthrough below.
On the Subjects list, or a Subject Group's Subjects tab, select subjects and choose Actions → Send Notification to send a template to all of them at once.
