The app sends push notifications so field staff hear about things while the phone is in a pocket. Each one opens the right screen when tapped.
| Notification | Tap opens |
|---|---|
| New chat message, shown as Name in #channel with the message | The conversation, or the thread if it was a reply |
| Reaction to your message | The conversation |
| Live Chat started in a channel you belong to | The conversation, with the call to join |
| Job assignment and job reminders | The job |
Chat notifications follow your per-conversation preference (All Messages, Mentions Only, None) and your Pause Notifications setting; see Notifications, Presence, and Away. Job notifications are the studio's employee notifications, delivered as push in addition to email or text.
The app asks for permission on first launch. If you declined, Profile → Notification Settings → Push Notifications tells you to enable them in your device settings, since the phone controls this, not the app. Email and SMS notifications can be switched on and off from the same screen.
Tapping Confirm or Deny in an assignment email on your phone opens the app directly when it is installed, so the response is recorded without signing in through the browser.

If a photographer says they never get assignment notifications, check three things in order: push allowed in the phone's settings, Receive SMS or Receive Email on their profile, and the notification itself turned on under Settings → Notifications on the web.
