When a subject who has already been photographed books again, Airstudio asks why. Resit Reasons is the list they choose from, and each reason carries two switches that decide what the resit costs: whether the session price is charged again, and whether the additional resit fee applies.
Managing reasons
- Open Settings › Resit Reasons and click New Resit Reason.
- Enter the Reason as the customer will see it, for example Eyes closed, Outfit change, Missed original date.
- Leave Charge Resit Session Fee on if the subject should pay the session package price again for the resit. Turn it off to make the resit session free. This waiver applies only when a new resit session is booked, never when an existing session is edited, and only if the previous session is eligible, for example not a custom-priced package.
- Turn on Charge Additional Resit Fee if a resit for this reason should also carry the Resit Fee from your Resit Policy. It is charged only when that policy enables resit fees for the session type, free or paid. Leave it off for resits that are the studio's fault.
- Save.
Reasons can be edited or deleted at any time. Deleting one does not change sessions already booked with it.
Where the reason appears
- On the booking page when a returning subject chooses a resit.
- On the session, so staff know why the subject is back.
- On the daily log sheet printed for the photographer.

The amount charged, and whether it applies to free or paid packages, is set on the Policies tab under Resit Policy. The two switches are independent: a reason can waive the session price and still charge the resit fee, or charge the session price with no resit fee. Whether a subject group allows resits at all is set on the subject group.
