Every team has a limited number of photographers, roles, and pieces of gear on a given day. Resource allocation records those limits so the schedule warns you as bookings and assignments approach them, and so bookable jobs never offer more sessions than you can shoot.

| Resource | Counted as | Where the cap is set |
|---|---|---|
| Setups | Setups on every job that day | Set Availability, per day and team |
| Roles | Shifts for that role on every job that day, filled or not | Role marked Trackable Resource under Employee Roles |
| Equipment bag types | Bags included on jobs that day | Bag type marked Trackable Resource under Equipment |
| Equipment item types | Items included on jobs that day | Item type marked Trackable Resource under Equipment |
Only resources flagged as trackable are counted. A resource with no cap set is simply untracked; it never warns.
One day: turn on Display Availability in the View menu and click a day's capacity strip. Enter Setups and any tracked roles, bags, and items for that team and date.
A range: Actions → Set Availability applies a setup count to every day in a range, or Actions → Bulk Resource Allocation sets any tracked resource across several date ranges at once, with shortcuts for this month and the next thirty days and Copy To All Teams.
The availability strip shows Available, Assigned, and Remaining setups per day. Jobs that push a resource near or over its cap show a warning on the schedule and in the job form: Approaching when close, Exceeded when over, naming the resource and date. Bookable jobs stop offering slots when setups are exhausted.

Set setup capacity for the whole season before booking opens. Booking pages read from it, so a day you forgot to cap can sell more sessions than you have photographers.
