Custom Fields | Notion

Custom fields store information about a subject that Airstudio does not track by default: jersey number, homeroom, t-shirt size, allergy notes, yearbook quote.

Two kinds of subject custom fields

Kind	Defined where	Use
Subject Group custom fields	Subject Group → Edit → Booking Fields / Custom Fields	Per program. Can be asked on the booking page and printed on session sheets. Values are specific to the subject's membership in that group.
Subject custom fields	Subjects → Add Custom Fields	Studio-wide, on the subject regardless of group. For facts that do not change by season.

Both appear on the subject's Custom Fields tab, grouped by where they were defined.

Filling in values

Individually: edit them on the subject's Custom Fields tab, or on the Subject Groups tab for group-specific fields.
By import: match a spreadsheet column to the field name in the Subject Group or Subjects import.
In bulk: select subjects and choose Actions → Update Custom Fields.
From the booking page: a group custom field marked to show on the booking form is filled in by the family.

Using values

Group custom fields marked Display as Subject Data appear on the session sheet PDF and the job's session list. Any custom field can be a filter on the Subjects list, and all are included in Excel exports.
