The Chat tab is Airchat, the studio's messaging system, on your phone. Everything the office sees in the web app is here: channels, direct messages, job channels, threads, files, and live calls, and messages you send from the field appear on their screens instantly.
What you can do from the Chat tab
- Read and post in channels and direct messages, with the same sections as the web: Channels, Organization, Subject Group, Job, and Task Channels, and Direct Messages.
- Open a job's channel from the job itself. On the job, tap Chat to open the channel, or create it and invite every assigned employee if it does not exist yet. See Create an Airchat Group for a Job.
- Long-press a message for quick reactions, the full emoji picker, Edit, Delete, and Copy.
- Reply in a thread, which opens as its own screen.
- Attach a photo from the camera or gallery, or a file, up to five per message and 20 MB each.
- Link a record so the office knows exactly which session, job, or subject you mean.
- Search messages with the same
#channel and @name prefixes as the web.
- Start or join a Live Chat audio or video call. A green bar shows on other screens while you are on a call.
- Set yourself Away, pause notifications, or set a conversation to Mentions Only from Channel Settings.
Notifications
Push notifications arrive for new messages, reactions to your messages, and incoming Live Chats, following your per-conversation preference. Tap one to land in the conversation. See Push Notifications.
Not yet on mobile
Adding or removing channel members, and starting a screen share. Both are done on the web.
